So, this is my groups contribution to our final project, dubbed "be supreme!" We were split into three groups, and given the assignment to create three supreme beings; one male, one female and one androgyonous. My group was given the latter, and this is what we ended up with after three months. The group consisted of my wonderful classmates Åsta, Anna, Gabrielle, Emily and me. We all contributed to the designprocess, and we each did our part regarding the sculpting of the different pieces. The make-up consisted of one headpiece (pull-over), facepiece, torsopiece (chest, shoulders and spine) elbowpieces and handpieces (which sadly aren't shown in the pictures), all done in foam latex, and porcupine-like spikes for the head. I sculpted the scale-like parts for the elbows and shoulders, and some bio-mechanical blacelet-like parts (that aren't shown here, either.) The base-tone of the coloring is airbrushed (by me) and the shading is hand-done with sponge and brush. Everyone worked together (and closely) on gluing on the different parts, blending edges and coloring the whole thing from the model's waste and up. The makeup took a little under ten hours to do, starting at four in the morning. (A BIG thanks to our wonderful model, Julia, for showing up at abominable hours.)
The black eyes have been post-edited in photoshop.
